When DIY goes wrong
A fire was caused in a property in Gynedd, North-West Wales, following an attempt at DIY went horribly wrong.
The semi-detached home in Ffriddoedd Road, Bangor was set alight when the occupant decided to use a blow torch to help with some home improvements, however they managed to catch soft furnishings within the home, setting it ablaze.
Fire-fighters were sent to the property on Friday September 11 to settle the fire which had spread throughout the house, causing chaos; the adjoining property only received a minimal amount of damage to the roof despite the fire-fighters concerns.
The occupant of the property hopes that he had accidental damage cover within his house insurance policy, otherwise he may have to pay for the damage out of his own pocket.
Insure My House can provide you with house insurance, including the option of accidental damage cover for both buildings insurance and contents insurance.
