Welsh house fire leads police to drugs bust
A house fire in Colwyn Bay, Wales, has cost its residents more than just their possessions but may land them in jail, after it drew attention to a cannabis factory in the premises.
A heat lamp used to cultivate the cannabis plants fell over, causing the fire which attracted two fire engines.
However, when firemen attended the fire they found over 100 cannabis plants and other paraphernalia in the building.
No arrests have been made of yet.
While the news may seem both shocking and amusing, it also reflects the dangers involved with leaving electrical items on while unattended.
Not only can leaving items on standby send electricity bills upwards, it can also harm the environment and increase the risk of a fire.
