Truck smashes into front of family home
A mother was left in shock following a phone call from a friend asked her to return to her house, which had been hit by a run away vehicle.
The mother of two received a phone call whilst at work telling her that she must return home, to discover that a pickup truck, owned by a neighbour had ploughed through her front garden and had ended up inside her kitchen, damaging cupboards, the boiler and the gas and electricity supplies.
Ms McGrail, from Brunt Lane in Woodville was shocked when she returned home to discover the mayhem; however she was more concerned about the sunflowers that she had been growing in her front garden as everything else can quite easily be replaced by her house insurance.
It was very lucky than Ms McGrail and her two children were not at home during the accident as it could have been even worse. The gas and electricity supplies had to be turned off in the street whilst an engineer came out to sort out the damage along with South Derbyshire District Council.
