Royal couple to visit flood-hit town
The Prince of Wales and Duchess of Cornwall are set to visit the flood hit areas of Wales, in an effort to understand the devastation experienced by homeowners in the area.
The royal couple will visit the area affected by the river Wansbeck bursting its banks over the weekend, after 1,000 properties were damaged by the water.
While royal attention will no doubt be appreciated by the people of Wales, it is contents insurance which will provide homeowners the finances with which to refurnish their homes.
Contents insurance can offer financial assistance to homeowners or tenants who have had their belongings damaged by either a natural disaster, fires, theft or any other kind of accident.
The Queen has also sent a message of sympathy to the town, in an acknowledgement of the severity of the flooding.
