Repossession could you be next
Posted on March 04th 2009
Government reports have estimated that up to 75 000 homes will be repossessed in the UK.
The current economical climate is affecting us all and homeowners are living in fear that their houses could be the next to be repossessed.
We have added some simple tips to help you through the crisis.
A few simple rules never ignore lenders, if you have a problem contact your lender and see if you can come to an agreement over payments. If the situation is out of your control and you fall behind your arrears you will be notified by your lender. Lenders will generally try and help you if they are made aware of your situation before you hit crisis point.
Tougher laws will be put in place to insure that lenders have explored every other avenue that is available to them before they try and take possession of homes. The government is trying to stamp out mortgage lenders taking advantage of customers who have been hit by the credit crisis in the united kingdom.
