Npower finally steps in line
Posted on March 18th 2009
Npower is the last of the 6 biggest power firms to reduce their prices. Npower faces backlash after it announced it would be cutting the price of electricity by 8 per cent at the end of March, however gas customers will not benefit from any price cuts.
The consumer watchdogs are monitoring the situation with energy suppliers. Wholesale prices have come down by more than half in the last year, however some suppliers are still charging the consumer the higher energy price. They believe they should be doing more to help the consumer by slashing prices wherever possible.
Hopefully more will be done to help consumers that are struggling to pay their winter bills.
