House in Milton Keynes destroyed by fire

A house in Buckinghamshire has been completely destroyed after a fire broke out in the semi-detached property.

More than 25 firefighters where called out to the blaze which is believed to have had flames reaching 20ft high. The fire crews battled the inferno for a number of hours and had to evacuate nearby homes after fears that the flames would reach neighbouring homes. The families in the area where forced to find alternative accommodation for the night until the fire had been properly subdued.

Fortunately no one was injured as a result of the fire but the owner was treated for shock as she watched her home in Milton Keynes go up in smoke.
