House fire leaves tenants homeless so close to Christmas
Fire crews in Wales have tackled a house fire that broke out in Llanwrtyd on Tuesday afternoon. The emergency services were called out to the scene shortly after 1310 BST, to find the upper level of the house engulfed in flames.
Fortunately nobody was hurt in the fire, although the house has been completely destroyed with part of the roof collapsing leaving the whole property a major risk. A salvage mission will begin in an effort to try and return some lost items to the owners but until then the area has been cordoned off. The two connecting properties have also been evacuated after receiving heavy smoke damage leaving the tenants homeless so close to the Christmas period.
A spokeswoman from the fire crew said: "Due to its unsecured nature, it's a public protection risk and a risk to adjacent buildings."
