House destroyed by vicious fire
An investigation has been launched into a fire that broke out and destroyed a house in Farnham on Sunday. Fire crews were called out to the detached bungalow after being notified of the incident.
The blaze took a total of 30 fire fighters to tackle before finally submitting, although the house was completely destroyed by the flames. The only good news for the residents was that they were not home at the time of the fire leaving no one with any injuries.
It was a neighbour who spotted the flames and notified the fire department, which had already been alerted and were on their way. She said: "I just looked out the window and saw the flames down the bottom of the lane. The flames were really high, I was a bit scared for my property but then I came out and the police said it would not be a problem because it is quite a long way down the lane."
The house has been left irreparable; fire crews and police are currently investigating the cause.
