Home insurance ignored as busy Brits spend time at work

British workers are so pushed for time that they are neglecting their finances, it has been revealed.
Research conducted by American Express Insurance Services shows 13 per cent of Brits are putting their homes at risk by failing to renew their insurance cover and search for better deals, blaming a hectic schedule for their inability to do so.
This is especially worrying given that shopping around for the best available deal is crucial if savings are to be made, which consumers should be looking to do in the current economic climate.
While Chris Rolland, head of American Express Insurance Services, understands the pressure workers are under, he has underlined the importance of finding time to sort out financial matters.
"We recognise that for many hard working Britons there are simply not enough hours in the day," he said.
"However, our research shows many Brits are letting their finances suffer as a result."
