The holiday season is coming up fast as winter approaches and many may be planning on driving long distances or leaving cars at airports while they visit relatives, but with so much to organise it's important not to forget some basic details.
Leaving a car in a car park for two weeks over Christmas is ample opportunity for a thief to break in and steal any satnavs left out on display, or Bluetooth headsets.

As such, it is important to check both a home contents insurance and buildings insurance policy before leaving home this holiday season.
A burglary at home while the family is with relatives could also become costly without contents insurance and thieves will be aware that families are stocking up on expensive goods in the run up to Christmas.
