Footballer set to erect 8 million pound eco build

The Manchester United footballer Gary Neville has announced new plans for his £8 million eco mansion to be built on the moors close to his current home in Bolton. The property has been linked to the house from the popular children's programme Teletubbies, although will be much more high-tech.

The 8,000 sq ft house has been designed to leave a zero carbon footprint by combining solar panels, a wind turbine and a ground source heat pump to power the Stone Age like approach to the home.

The veteran footballer is currently waiting on planning permission to go through and once it has done so construction will start immediately.

The Government has even voiced their love of the advanced design by hailing it as a 'benchmark for all future zero-carbon developments'.

Unfortunately for Mr Neville the land on which he hopes to construct the property on is within the green belt. However this has not stopped him as he hopes the state of the art eco design will be allowed to go ahead.
