Fire tears through static caravan.
A static caravan in Glan Gwna Country Holiday Park in Wales has been burned to the ground after the occupants left the gas heater on with cloths drying just a few feet away. The caravan was completely destroyed by the fire, which even damaged the neighbouring caravan leaving its occupant needing treatment for smoke inhalation and shock.
Fire crews have stressed the importance to the public of not leaving clothes next to an open fire as even the smallest of ambers can cause a fire that will tear through any home. Another factor that can cause an incident such as this one is leaving a caravan unattended with a gas heater still on. It is vital to attach a working fire alarm to all premises including holiday homes, not only to protect your caravan but to protect your lives as well.
