Fancy swapping?
Posted on April 15th 2009
The number of property owners looking to swap houses with other property owners has risen by 209 in a year, this is due to the current state of the market where more and more of us are looking to swap property rather than wait for a buyer.
There were 42,000 house sales completed in February this year, this is half of the sales made that time last year.
this new trend has a few advantages as this means that they are not allegable for the fees set on by estate agents it also means that those looking to swap do not get caught in a chain. One of the things to look out for when swapping is to make sure that both properties are of equal value, if one property is of lesse value than it is up to the owner of that house to pay the ownerof the higher valed property the difference, this can be negotiated by the owners.
