Cost of home insurance falls at Sainsbury's
Sainsburys, one of the largest supermarket grocery chains in the UK, and of late, provider of financial services, has announced plans to reduce the cost of its home insurance policies.
The retailer will be offering a years cover for the price of nine months, if its home and contents cover is purchased together.
An additional ten per cent discount is also available if bought online.
Steve Johnson, head of home insurance at Sainsburys, said: Home insurance policies vary dramatically, so it is essential people compare polices, not only on price but also on the level of cover they provide.
The offer is available to anyone taking out cover between October 27th and November 2nd 2007.
The move will be seen as another salvo in the battle for supremacy among the supermarket giants, currently being won by Tesco, which recently announced another big profit rise.
