Charity pool damaged in fire
A sensory swimming pool built for a local charity was damaged by a fire recently, it has been reported.
The roof of the swimming pool, built for the British Institute for Brain Injured Children (Bibic) in Bawdrip, Somerset, has collapsed, leaving the swimming pool unusable and only the four walls standing.
Thankfully, the fire did not spread to a main building used by Bibic.
Charity chief executive John Bennett said in a BBC report: "We caught it just in time.
"Had I been another ten or 15 minutes later, according to the fire department, it would have gained a hold on the main building, which is an 1804 build, which would have been a sad loss."
