Change in new properties
Posted on March 23rd 2009
Property developers have changed the way they build. They will switch from 1 and 2 bedroom flats to building 3 bedroom houses instead.
In Manchester and Leeds one of the biggest sellers were micro-flats however family homes are becoming more and more desirable. The credit crunch has forced people to move away from style and to look at comfort. It’s a better long-term investment than a stylish 1 or two bedroom flat.
Some of the big developers have changed the way they see things, they used to build 49 per cent houses and 51 per cent flats, however they will be building properties in the reverse from now on as it is far more beneficial to themselves in today’s economic climate. Houses are becoming more and more affordable.
