Burglary on farmhouse in Lancashire
A Lancashire couple have been left shaken up after their home was ransacked by armed thieves in a random attack.
The farmhouse in Leyland was targeted by the armed burglars at 8.45pm on Sunday October 11. They entered the property through the back door, wearing black ski masks so that they could not be identified. After threatening the home owners with their own garden tools to keep them quiet they went through the home, stealing jewellery and money.
Police were called to the home following the burglary to find the very frightened, unhurt couple. They are calling for anyone who has any information to come forward; there may even be local people to the area who spotted some suspicious activity days before the burglary took place.
Insure My House provides home owners with insurance against theft should they become the victim of a burglary.
