Arson attack on unoccupied property
Owners of an unoccupied property in County Antrim have been left devastated after their house caught fire, causing havoc.
The property, which had been unoccupied for several weeks, caught fire after a random arson attack on Wednesday October 7. The fire broke out causing severe damage to the property and then spreading on to an adjoining home.
The family of the property next door on Glenaan Drive, Portrush managed to escape the home without any injuries; however it has suffered smoke and water damage from fire fighters trying to put out the flames.
An investigation is being launched into why the unoccupied property caught fire in an unknown motive for an arson attack by the local police department.
