8m house buyers unsatisfied with new home
Nearly 29 per of new property buyers are not content with their purchase, claims a recent study.
The AA revealed that many new homeowners feel that they may have been ripped-off and possibly not alerted to hidden faults mainly because they find the whole house buying process very daunting and complicated.
For those aged between 18 to 24, purchasing a home is considered more stressful than getting married, divorced or setting-up a business, while 42 per cent of those aged over 55 would prefer to keep renting rather than go through the buying process.
Janet Pell from the AA explained: "For most people, buying a home will be the most important purchase they make in their lifetime, so it's really important to get it right and make sure you have no regrets once the contract is signed."
"And once youve found your dream home, make sure you shop around for the best deal on your mortgage, surveys and home insurance," she added.
Other concerns for potential house buyers included noisy neighbours and unscrupulous estate agents.
